If you’re looking to finance your project, it is best to approach us when a general package is in place (director, cast, etc.), and a sales agent has been attached. If seeking our packaging services, it is best to approach us when your script is production-ready.
What material does Head Gear need to evaluate my project?
Depending on the type of financing you need, we would need as much of the following as possible in order for us to properly evaluate your project:
- Package/Deck
- Loan request
- Closing time frame
- Finance Plan
- Budget
- Script
- Production Schedule (i.e. Prep, Shoot, Post, Delivery)
- Details of Sales Agent
- Sales Agent’s estimates and indicative terms (i.e. fees, expenses)
- Details of Completion Guarantor (if applicable)
- Details of Guild involvement (if applicable)
Does it matter where I am located?
No, we work with producers from all over the world!
Do you look for specific genres?
No, we work across all genres.
Does Head Gear only finance films?
No. In addition to films, we have financed both television shows and video games.
Does Head Gear have a minimum loan amount?
We review projects on a case-by-case basis but are less likely to lend below $500,000.
Does Head Gear require projects to be bonded?
Not necessarily. We review projects on a case-by-case basis, and take the producer’s experience into consideration.
